How tap tempo works

The page measures the time between your taps. It uses the average of the last taps to find the BPM.

After 2 seconds with no tap, the count starts again. Tap twice to get a first number.

Tips for a good result

Tap at least four times. More taps give a steadier number.

Tap on the main beat and not on every small note.

If the number is half or double what you expect, use the plus and minus buttons to check the other tempo.
